De afgelopen tijd is er niet veel gebeurt met de cover, maar ik ga het weer meer op pakken. Ik ben begonnen met het mixen van de cover, al heb ik nog geen tweede stem opgenomen. Los daarvan klinkt het eigenlijk al aardig, maar kan het nog beter klinken als ik het goed in elkaar gemixt krijg. Dat brengt wel wat uitdagingen met zich mee…
Eerste Nummer Project Update #1
2 weken verder is er weer een stukje meer opgenomen voor het eerste nummer (cover) project. Vorige week was het helaas een beetje druk (iets met een huis kopen dat veel tijd neemt), dus vandaar geen post. Vandaag een update over de status van de cover en de dingen die ik nog tegen gekomen ben. De volgende dingen ben ik tegen gekomen:
Extending Guitar Recordings
In the mean time it is 2 weeks ago since my last post. Last week I did not come around to making a post. However, there is some progress in the recording and there is a producer workshop planned! Most of the guitar parts for the song This Is Living are now recorded. Well… at least a first take.
First Recorded Part
With all this talk about all kinds of stuff, but no actual music yet, I thought you deserve some music. While working my way through the book and fiddling around in Cubase, I did some recordings of the intro of the first song (cover). The intro is done with only guitar and is currently recorded with a Condenser microphone and the pickup of the guitar. So let’s have a look at the first recorded piece of music!
Cubase #01: The Cubase Interface
Last few weeks I have not gotten around to actually recording and experimenting much, but lets try to pick it up again this week and hopefully we can hear some recording in some time from now. In the meantime, we will have a look at the Cubase User Interface. We’ll go through some of the basic windows and concepts of the program for basic recording and mixing.
